An explosive superfruit! Pomegranates, a little bomb of color and nutrients, are grown in northern Lebanon. Harvesting this natural gem begins in October, when the fruits take on a yellow-orange hue that turns red.
A traditional ingredient in Levantine cuisine, pomegranate molasses is made by reducing pomegranate juice. The seeds transform into a thick, syrupy condiment with powerful tangy notes.
Carefully prepared by a small women's cooperative in Akkar, this molasses stands out for its entirely natural composition, 100% pure juice. A commitment to authentic taste that is confirmed by the numbers: 10 kg of pomegranate are needed to obtain 50 cl of molasses!
This condiment replaces balsamic vinegar for dressing salads – such as “fattoush” – and is excellent for marinating meats and fish.
An essential for seasoning your dishes.
